AFRO XPLO

Fresh Xplorations of Pan African dance, led by Ukachi Akalawu.
Influences are from 'Sabar' and other West African dance forms.
Improve mobility, strength, coordination and sense of rhythm. Close attention is paid to preparing the body, and developing the integral relationship between dance and music.

CLASS STRUCTURE

2. Travelling across the floor in various combinations including jumps, skips, kicks and runs

3. Movement phrases learnt throughout the class are put together into a challenging routine. Participants develop coordination, memory, sense of rhythm and understanding of key principles of West African dance
